The Pastor continues…
You see, Jesus was later led to be crucified on that good Friday evening. As he hung on the cross, he said….
It is finished
‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life’ John 3 verse 16
‘For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved’ John 3 verse 17
By saying ‘it is finished’, Jesus Christ completed mankind’s redemption from eternal suffering in the Lake of fire. At last Satan’s nightmare became a reality. Humans now have a second chance of turning back to God for salvation from sin. Jesus instantly became the ‘…the mediator between God and men…’ Suddenly, the veil of the temple which had been a barrier between God and man was torn down. This signal that humans can have direct access to God in prayer through Jesus Christ
